Job Overview
The Lead I&C Engineer-Offshore, Instrumentation & Automation is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.
In your role, you will lead and execute multiple projects (local and international) and also be responsible for preparing instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as required for the project and assigned by the Discipline Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist engineers / Design manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.
- Ensure verification of source data, concept & FEED drawings / concepts as required.
- Deliver FEED and detailed Engineering in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms, and Islands handling mechanical packages like chemical Injection packages, Biocide packages, Compressor Packages, Heater packages, Well Head Control Panel (WHCP), ESD/RTU panel, ICSS systems, Well head Oil production/Water Injection Instruments, SCADA Systems, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), etc.
- Align with the Mechanical team and Vendors for the Technical Evaluation for Gas Compressor packages and Heater packages compliance review.
- Review Package control systems, Anti-surge Control System, Load sharing control, and interface to plant control systems (ICSS/ VMS Systems).
- Plan the project execution to deliver within the project schedule.
- Manage the team of Engineers and designers, monitoring and controlling the Budget Manhrs.
- Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant departments/disciplines, ensuring submission dates meet Client/Contract requirements.
- Prepare/review design outputs in the form of design computations, drawings, and specifications.
- Review design documents, drawings, etc., issued by various disciplines and ensure Client’s approval.
- Ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings with necessary coordination with Client.
- Overall responsible for inter-discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/deliverables, and procedures to the Client.
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL Study for the design as per requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Requirements for the project.
- Resolve unclear issues with the Client through technical queries in coordination with inter-discipline leads and managers.
- Coordinate with procurement department to ensure procurement inputs required for design are obtained from vendors and forwarded to the design subcontractor.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and pre-commissioning.
- Coordinate for the preparation of as-built documentation.
Qualifications
- Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)
- Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Instrumentation and Automation competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries.
- Experience with FEED and detailed Engineering deliverables in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms, and Islands handling mechanical packages.
- Minimum 8 years in a Senior Role.
- Telecommunication knowledge would be an added advantage.
- Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Group of Companies.
- Experience with reputed Engineering Consultants would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Fluent in English; Arabic speaking would be an added advantage.
