Job Summary.
Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer is accountable for producing and maintaining related deliverables (including, but not limited to Calculations, Datasheets, Technical specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical bid evaluations, Schedules, MTO's, Review GAD's, detail drawings, Work volumes) in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications within the schedule and budget as set-out by the Lead Engineer. It is important to have significant experience working on Onshore/Offshore oil and gas projects and work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, coordinate, mentor and manage discipline teams on projects when needed.
- Ensure safe, effective and successful implementation of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering activities within budget and schedule requirements.
- Participate in engineering assignments such as assisting with the development of specifications, datasheets, calculations, drawings, material take-offs
- Prepare Material requisition, technical bid evaluations and review vendor drawings
- Getting the required inputs from respective disciplines for designing the structures and managing the weight control during various stages of project.
- Giving the inputs to designers for them to prepare the drawing. To lead the designer team and taking ownership of the job given.
- Preparing a design that is most suitable for the intended purpose and that suits to the functional requirement of other disciplines and meet customer needs.
- Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data from other parties/execution offices.
- Take part in 3D Model reviews, Construction reviews, Design reviews
- Review materials take-offs and bill of materials. Ensure that the quantities are within budget and any changes are documented with approval from Lead Engineer/ Engineering Manager/Project manager.
- Bring to the attention of the necessary parties, any problems, assistance or matters that may affect quality, deadlines or costs.
- Establish good working relationships and communication with all Leads, Managers and clients.
- Interface with Subcontractors, Suppliers and Vendors for completion of engineering activities
- Assist in the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering activities on projects, tenders under the direction of Lead Engineer
- Adhere to the HSE requirements stipulated by Company/Clients
- Ready to attend the sub-vendor FAT and visit yard during construction and understand improvements needed in design
- Maintain Quality documentation and report any non-compliances for process improvement.
- Undertake any other general duties that may be requested. The list of duties is not exhaustive in any way and may change at any time.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 10-15 years of work experience in the Oil & Gas industry with at least 10 years in similar position i.e. working for EPC Projects in Oil & Gas sector in analysis, design and detailing.
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems, Automation or Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate previous experience in the use of software like AUTOCAD and Navisworks
- Must have good working knowledge of codes and standards (ISA, IEC, BS, ASME, API, ISO, etc.)
- A basic understanding of constructability, operability and maintainability requirements.
- Verbal and written communication using English is compulsory.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment.
- Should be able to work on fast-track projects and deliver as per project schedule.
- Strong work ethic and proactive drive to deliver projects within schedule.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Subsea7 is hiring Lead and Senior Installation Engineers to join our Engineering hub based in Dubai.
The requirement is to produce detailed Installation Engineering Procedure or Document to deliver transportation and installation scopes, while also managing aspects of product design and Vendor documentation including interface with Vendor and SCM. Plan, detail and review technical documentation relating to subsea installation works like pipeline installation, crossings, spools, subsea structures, riser installation and flexible/cable installation works (or other soft products), subsea hardware and topside interface.
Work may include supporting studies, tenders as well as live projects. Lead Engineers may be technical specialists within a specific discipline and support the knowledge management and technology initiatives relating to the discipline. Work may be carried out onshore or offshore, depending upon the discipline in question.
• Interface with project team, engineering teams and SCM
• Support the selection of associated vendors relevant to the scope through technical bid evaluation.
• Plan, detail and develop technical documentation relating to subsea installation and topside interface.
• Undertake and check others' analysis, design and engineering activities associated with subsea installation works.
• Ensure design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides (e.g., DNV-ST-F101, DNVGL-ST-N001 etc.); Client Specifications and Scopes of Work, and Subsea 7 internal standard (BMS)
• Production and checking of design documentation including feasibility reports, detailed in-place design reports, specifications, material take-offs, etc.
• Be aware of the Overall project / Tender planning and responsible for the planning of his / her Scope of Work.
• Develop and organize constructability sessions including all relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure progress and compliance of the supplier in close interface with SCM function
• Follow-up on detail engineering activities, fabrications, and testing
• Lead member of Installation engineering team within projects, tenders and/ or within a discipline. May direct small teams related to his/her scope.

VEPS has been serving the Energy Sector as a leading provider of Upstream Oil & Gas process solutions for over 40 years, supplying produced water, gas and oil treatment technologies to our clients around the world - delivering best in class project execution models as well as field services and aftermarket support.
Job DescriptionAs part of its Growth Initiatives, VEPS is refocusing on Energy Transition related business, in particular on Carbon Capture, CO2 conditioning and H2 conditioning.
VEPS has delivery centres in the UAE, Australia, India and Singapore, and operates across the larger Water Tech Division and with the global Veolia Group, developing transversal initiatives and incorporating technologies and products from other divisions to its offer for the Energy Sector.
The VEPS business has an opportunity for a Technical Director who will play a key role in setting and delivering the technical and innovation goals of our business as we evolve and grow to meet the challenges of the burgeoning Energy Transition - whilst providing stewardship and maintaining certainty for our established hydrocarbon industry clients, their activities and market sectors.
Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the Executive Committee of VEPS, the position is to be (ideally) located in Dubai. due to its central location and the large client concentration. Candidates based elsewhere, but able to relocate will also be considered.
Function / Responsibilities:
Work with the VEPS leadership team to set clear priorities and goals for technology innovation, development and management.
Define the VEPS division’s overall technology strategy to support business objectives.
Oversee data security, management and governance.
Manage strategic technology partner relationships.
Identify and assess potential targets for acquisition.
Strengthen and expand the VEPS portfolio of process technologies/solutions targeting the energy industry and the transition to clean energy.
Lead new development and improvement efforts across VEPS technologies/solutions.
Be the repository of the company’s core process design knowledge, return of experience and spearhead innovation and dissemination.
Protect VEPS technical knowledge and expertise via patents, secrecy and/or controlled access to critical information.
Lead Pilot and Demonstration units’ initiatives.
Technical Leader for Consulting projects (feasibility studies, pre-FEED & FEED) involving new technologies and complex process schemes.
Support Proposals Managers and Sales teams in taking ‘new technology’ offerings to the market with the objective of creating and occupying a ‘niche’.
Ensure close collaboration across departments to drive strategic initiatives, including understanding of the alignment between market needs and technology strategies.
Create strategic plans and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technological developments.
Key liaison between VEPS and other VEOLIA groups, R&D teams and external companies, industry groups and clients
Provide advice and direction on VEPS’ ‘Technology Risk’ on complex or novel processes.
Continuously improve Company design tools, systems (including Software Simulations) Process Design Procedures and Engineering Guidelines to best meet the needs of the business.
Provide technology training and mentoring to VEPS technical staff.
Adapt the product portfolio to the market changes and opportunities.
Increase competitiveness and/or differentiation of VEPS products/technologies through innovation & improvement.
Monitor industry innovations and improvements in the old and new Energy landscape and assess their impact on VEPS technologies/solutions.
Establish dialogue with key client technologists to identify process improvements and new business opportunities as identified by their own operations.
Liaise with other VEOLIA business unit technical experts to share and transfer VEOLIA’s wider industry technologies and to identify complementary technologies.
Support the Project Execution and Engineering teams on technology and process related matters.
Participate in troubleshooting underperforming equipment systems to identify improvement solutions.
Be responsible for the collection and analyses of equipment performance data leading to product optimisation.
Provide leadership and support of VEPS Health, Safety & Environment culture and values.

Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities with a problem-solving aptitude.
Solid understanding of broad technology trends in the energy industry and the ability to align innovation with business goals.
Strong communication with ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Science or Engineering Degree with minimum of 20 years conventional and/or renewable energy industry or related industry experience in Process Design & Process Technology related positions
