Role Overview
As Delivery Lead, you would own the end-to-end release management lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and controlling software builds, ensuring that quality standards are met and risks are mitigated. This role acts as a vital bridge between Product, Engineering, QA, Security, and Operations, managing multiple release cycles across markets. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a comprehensive release calendar in coordination with development squads, product managers, and QA leads.
- Coordinate all activities related to software releases across development, UAT, staging, and production environments.
- Establish and enforce release governance, including quality assurance gates, rollback protocols, and change management processes.
- Lead release readiness reviews, Go/No-Go meetings, and post-mortems.
- Manage release documentation, risk logs, sign-offs, and reporting for internal and regulatory stakeholders.
- Work with DevOps and Infrastructure to ensure CI/CD pipelines are aligned with release objectives.
- Champion automated release management tools and practices, aligning with security and compliance requirements.
- Ensure clear communication of release scope, timelines, dependencies, and change impacts across all stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
Specialist Capabilities:
- 5–7 years of experience in Release Management, DevOps coordination, or software delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) and deployment pipelines.
- Experience working with distributed systems and multi-environment deployments (especially in regulated fintechs).
- Familiarity with risk, compliance, and secure development lifecycle (SDLC) in fintech or identity-related domains.
General Competencies:
- Project coordination skills and ability to manage cross-functional dependencies.

This role leads cross-functional teams and external service providers to achieve on-time, on-budget, high-quality deployments with strong user adoption and template adherence. Deep SAP S/4 HANA implementation and data migration expertise are essential, along with proven people leadership and vendor management skills.
At the heart of the program is an SAP S/4 HANA ERP core, integrated with a wide array of complementary platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SAP Ariba, SAP SuccessFactors, and Microsoft Project Server. The transformation is driven by a template-based rollout model, with limited localization, ensuring consistency and efficiency across a heterogeneous landscape spanning manufacturing, software development, services, and security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Wave Planning
- Build and maintain the multi-wave rollout plan and roadmap for all entities, aligning scope, capacity, and dependencies across eight process domains.
- Define entity readiness criteria and entry/exit gates for each phase (SAP Activate Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run/Operate/Hypercare).
- Orchestrate a "rollout factory" model, standardizing assets, playbooks, and accelerators to drive scale and repeatability.
- Discover: Lead entity assessments, fit-to-standard posture, value case, and high-level solution/ integration scoping.
- Prepare: Mobilize teams, environments, and tools; finalize the delivery plan, RAID, and governance; confirm data migration and testing strategies.
- Explore: Execute fit-to-standard workshops; manage gaps, extension design, and controlled localization; ensure template alignment and change control.
- Realize: Oversee configuration, developments (WRICEF), integrations, data migration cycles, and test phases (SIT, UAT, performance, security).
- Deploy: Manage cutover planning and execution (incl. data loads), business readiness, training, and go/no-go governance.
- Run/Hypercare: Stabilize post–go-live, resolve defects, transition to AMS, and hand off to run operations with KPIs and lessons learned.
- Own the end-to-end data migration strategy, governance, and execution (scope, mapping, cleansing, ownership, quality KPIs, mock loads).
- Select and apply tools such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, or equivalent ETL/ DQ platforms.
- Coordinate master data governance and cutover/data load plans; achieve load success criteria and reconciliation signoffs.
- Lead external service providers (SI, data migration, testing, change partners): scope and SOWs, SLAs, deliverables, and performance management.
- Resolve delivery constraints and escalations; ensure consistent ways of working and knowledge transfer.
- Engage Business Process Owners, Entity Leadership, PMO, Entity Key Users, and Change Champions.
- Collaborate closely with the change management team to shape communications and training content with a fit-to-standard mindset and controlled deviations.
- Run program governance, reporting, and financials; manage RAID, quality gates, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory needs relevant to aerospace/defense (e.g., export controls, cybersecurity frameworks).
- Lead and coach cross-functional and matrixed teams; forecast and allocate resources; develop talent and a delivery culture focused on outcomes.
- Model collaborative, transparent, and data-driven decision-making.
- Institutionalize and maintain reusable assets (config guides, migration objects, test scripts).
- Implement DevOps and automated testing pipelines to reduce wave cycle times.
Essential
- 12+ years of large-scale SAP implementation experience, including at least 3 full-cycle SAP S/4 HANA rollouts in engineering, manufacturing or aerospace/ defense environments.
- Extensive practical knowledge of using template/ fit-to-standard approaches with controlled localization in a complex, multi-entity environments.
- Proven track record as a Program or Delivery Lead managing concurrent rollouts/ waves across 10+ legal entities.
- Demonstrable mastery of SAP Activate across all phases (Discover, Prepare, Explore, Realize, Deploy, Run/Hypercare).
- Strong data migration expertise, from strategy through execution (mapping, cleansing, mock loads, cutover); hands-on knowledge of SAP Migration Cockpit and at least one other ETL/ DQ tool (e.g., SAP Data Services, LSMW, ChainSys, Syniti, etc.).
- Demonstrated success in selecting, contracting (SoWs), and managing international system integrators with on-site and remote delivery models.
- Hands-on familiarity with at least two of the eight core process domains (Lead-to-Cash, Supply-to-Demand, Plan-to-Produce, Engineer-to-Manufacture, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire, Acquire-to-Dispose).
- Excellent program management skills: plan/ budget control, RAID, KPIs, and executive reporting.
- Strong leadership, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

In This Role You Will
- Schedule user stories from the technical product backlog to the Sprint plan focusing on regular and timely delivery of business value initiatives and facilitating agile ceremonies eg product backlog refinement sprint planning daily stand ups sprint reviews and retrospectives
- Manage risks assumptions issues and dependencies removing impediments blockers to ensure optimal flow of value Guide the team on the use of Agile Scrum practices and values to delight the business and how to elicit the most out of self organization Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team.
- Promotes empowerment of the team ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the initiatives and is making a meaningful contribution and encourages a sustainable pace adhering to the agreed quality management plan with the team.
- Work collaboratively with the Technical Product Owners to refine clarify and maintain the product backlog together with the TPO schedules and commits stories into sprints and visualizes progress.
- Support the Technical Product Owners in managing business expectations and transparency in both product backlog and schedule for all initiatives.
- Define and manage a well defined process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Delivery Management and effectively manage conflict resolution Ensure the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done DOD is being followed and make sure that each team member is fully engaged in the stories and making a meaningful contribution.
- Encourage a sustainable pace adhering to the agreed quality management plan with the team Maintains an agile project management tool ScrumDesk JIRA etc.
To be considered for the role you must meet the below requirements:
- Degree or Honours or equivalent in a subject related to Computer Science or similar
- Certified Scrum Master with 3 years of practical application of the Scrum Management discipline PMI ACP transition of existing SDCs are exempt.
- 5 years of working in Information Technology in agile delivery within the context of a small medium technology change program. Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation with global teams for a large organisation.
- Well versed in the use of tools of software delivery eg MS OFFICE suite JIRA Confluence etc.
- Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders
- Excellent Communication Skills, focusing on core Scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
