Key Responsibilities
- Oversee installation, alignment, and integration of STP/MBR systems on board ships or offshore platforms.
- Supervise or execute commissioning/Installation of vacuum toilets, collection tanks, transfer systems, MBR membranes (CIP cycles, replacement), Vacuum pumps, ejectors, valves, blowers, dosing systems, float switches and operate and manage ensuring leak-free and pressure stability.
- Perform routine testing of MBR permeate quality, membrane integrity, and vacuum pressure levels.
- Ensure systems comply with IMO (International Maritime Organization) and Marine standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, operational data sheets, compliance records and detailed service report
- Conduct annual surveys, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services.
- Conduct warranty inspections and support claims with technical findings.
What we are looking for
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram, and equipment manuals related to STP, MBR systems, and vacuum collection systems.
- Hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, or technician roles, ideally within marine, offshore, or industrial wastewater treatment systems.
- Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with ship crew, contractors, and technical teams, and to document service reports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word (for report writing) and Excel (for data logging, performance tracking, and maintenance records).
- Physically fit and safety-conscious, capable of working in confined spaces, sewage treatment compartments, and at heights or via ladders, in line with marine HSE standards.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively, often under pressure in time-critical service environments (e.g., port calls, dry docks, offshore platforms).
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UAE and internationally, including onboard vessels, offshore facilities, and client sites, sometimes at short notice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering/ 3-year diploma.

Job Summary

Field Service & Maintenance
- Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of torque tools, jar testers, and other mechanical/hydraulic service equipment at customer sites.
- Conduct functional tests to verify the performance of equipment.
- Ensure equipment is serviced according to NOV procedures.
- Travel to customer sites within and outside the base country as required, sometimes at short notice.
- Maintain a professional and safe working environment while representing the company on-site.
- Complete all maintenance logs, service reports, calibration certificates, and customer paperwork accurately and on time.
- Provide detailed service documentation and report any non-conformances or issues observed during service.
- Comply with all company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and site-specific safety protocols.
- Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective measures are taken.
- Maintain the service equipment in-house and ensure tools are in working condition.
- Support the calibration and inspection schedules of equipment.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Diploma in mechanical, or hydraulic engineering, or any related technical field
- Min 2 years experience in similar position
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and under pressure in field environments.
- Good command of English language (reading speaking and writing)
- Bacholors in Mechanical Engineering degree.

Cleans coils blowers checks motors and belt tensions.
Work closely with colleagues as part of an integrated team.
Recognize safety hazards commonly found in HVAC operations and identify and implement appropriate controls to ensure safe work.
Identify situations that require escalation or elevation to Supervisor or Manager for guidance or need to request additional support.
Manage & organize machinery tools pickup delivery usage & inventory as applicable.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Recognize and identify potential risks and hazards associated with performing all work-related duties safely.
Attend regular (EH&S / Technical) Trainings & meetings.
Role Purpose:
Diagnostic review repair and replacement of parts as well as the replacement and installation of equipment
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma (or equivalent) in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Field.
Minimum 2 years of working experience / internship in the HVAC industry / field.
A valid driving license is a plus.
Minimum products knowledge ( DX & Airside Equipment Reciprocating chillers.)

In this role we will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing Field Service Operations at Hitachi Energy Services - UAE, ensuring high- quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. How you’ll make an impact
- Leading, developing and managing the requirements for the role and competence matrix of Field Service Network for the UAE’s Hitachi Energy Service division and the Field Service Network capabilities and capacity planning, standard framework, tools and standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the Field Service Operations.
- Foster a culture of strong collaboration between the factories, service units and functions.
- Attending site escalation meetings. Lead Team of field service engineers to ensure the service projects are executed with safety and quality.
- Participate in critical project reviews. Ensure projects costs are within limits, overruns are flagged early.
- Ensure regular updates project progress, timesheets, Co-ordinate with different departments in factory such as Engineering, Sales, SCM, PM etc. to get the required information for smooth execution of service projects.
- Measure team KPIs and report monthly. Take necessary measures to focus KPI that are not achieving the target.
- Provide update to Service management team on statuses of various service projects.
- Ensure all the team / individuals are audited and audit shortcomings are followed up and closed on time.
- Coordinating with internal teams (technical, operations, finance, and legal) for proposal preparation, delivery, and project execution from time to time and maintaining contact with various suppliers & service vendors.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
- Living Hitachi Energy’s core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leading large teams, strong leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and to work independently, with a strategic and result-oriented mindset.
