The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing payroll operations and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across multiple business units. - Payroll Process Ownership: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as the primary payroll contact for business units, finance teams, and external payroll providers.
- Ensure payroll activities adhere to tax laws, labor laws, and company policies.
- Work closely with IT and vendors to optimize payroll software functionality.
- Audit & Risk Control: Perform payroll reconciliations, variance analyses, and implement audit recommendations.
- Final Settlements & Adjustments: Oversee exit payroll calculations, ensuring accuracy in final payments.
- Maintain payroll records and generate reports for leadership and compliance purposes.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review payroll workflows, identifying and implementing enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or any other related field.
- 10+ years' experience in HC employee services/ Payroll system and processes.
- Efficient skills in MS office packages
- Advanced skills in usage of MS PowerPoint
- Attention to detail & Quality.
- Leadership Skills

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based F&B group with multiple home-grown concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Shalwa, Kumo, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere and Public.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Payroll Specialist to join our HR team here in Dubai and to process payroll and all day-to-day activities related to it. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Time and attendance regularisation
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll at all times while reviewing data related to incentives, increments, resignations etc.
- Work closely with finance for processing payments
- Preparation of MIS report for review and approval
- End of service/ vacation salaries
- Must have experience handling 1,000+ employees
To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of 5-7 years' experience, ideally taken from an F&B/Manufacturing environment. Excellent MS Excel skills are essential, and preference will be given to candidates with experience working with HRMS Payroll modules. Experience with Emiratization payroll process (GPSSA, Nafis etc.) would be preferred.

- Prepare regular KPI reports and presentations for senior management.
- Monitor trends and identify areas for improvement to support strategic planning.
- Provide insights and recommendations to drive organizational performance and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and standards.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required payroll information and reports.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
- Lead and mentor payroll staff, providing training and development opportunities.
