**Job Description**
AECOM are currently seeking experienced BIM Lead - Public Health, to be based in our Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. The BIM Lead will work as part of the wider Building Engineering practice and support the Mechanical engineering team by leading plans and developing the discipline BIM execution including Model and Drawing production in accordance with BIM Execution Plan and BIM standards compliance, project specifications and established practices.
**Responsibilities:**
+ BIM Model and Drawing co-ordination within MEP and across Disciplines.
+ Identifies incremental improvements to existing procedures or processes that increase efficiency or work quality.
+ Participate in evaluating advanced technologies/tools that can improve efficiency and optimize design workflows
+ Conduct clash detection and resolve issues between MEP systems and other disciplines using tools like Navisworks, Revizto.
+ Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others.
+ Performs technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures.
+ Participates in client meetings to discuss project requirements, explain / defend work, etc.
+ Creation of Templates, High Level BIM Families, Shared Parameters, Scheduling and BIM Modelling in general.
+ Work with project teams to coordinate model set up, drawing packages, model coordination, and any other project requirements.
+ Set up, maintenance, support and troubleshooting BIM projects.
+ May manage more junior staff members coordinating activities of a small team.
+ Maintaining liaison with design groups.
+ Under some supervision, may complete assignments to high complexity.
+ Familiarity with codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline.
**Qualifications**
+ A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
+ A minimum of 10 years experience is required for the role, with experience in building projects.

- Complete daily Trailer Dock Release (TDR) inspections and communications.

- Participate in site management safety walk, provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
- Provide daily update to Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO's, ATS, network actions, etc).
- Preparation of WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, ATS creation.
- Daily Permit to Work review and sign off, working with the operational and facilities team.

About the Role- Conduct regular hazard assessments across manufacturing and assembly areas.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe use of cranes, heavy equipment, and high-power machinery.
- Oversee PPE compliance and equipment safety protocols.
- Ensure EHS compliance across office and laboratory spaces.
- Oversee ergonomics programs, chemical handling, and fire protection systems.
- Develop and maintain evacuation plans, first aid and first response processes, and crisis management procedures.
- Lead regular emergency drills and training sessions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor and EHS regulations, OSHA, ISO 45001, and other international standards.
- Liaise with external authorities and auditors during inspections.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and risk assessments.
- Identify potential risks, define mitigation strategies, and track corrective actions.
- Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs.
- Promote a proactive and accountable safety culture across all levels.
- Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes.
- Develop corrective and preventive action plans, maintain EHS records, and report to leadership.
- EHS Certification (NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
- Strong background in Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment.
- Experience developing and managing Emergency Response Plans.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, high-power machinery, and production safety practices.
- Working knowledge of UAE labor and EHS laws, and international standards (OSHA / ISO).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
- Experience in Aerospace or Satellite Manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with EHS management software for reporting and analytics.
- Project Management certification or experience.
- Lean / Six Sigma background to integrate safety into process efficiency initiatives.
- May require occasional travel to supplier or launch sites for EHS audits and assessments (Europe / US / Gulf region).
