Responsibilities- Preparation of Diesel Solar Hybrid system's design deliverables such as SSO, SLD, WD, and Equipment layout using AutoCAD.
- Hybrid system sizing and optimization using HOMER / Enlite Sim.
- Solar PV Yield estimation using PVsyst.
- Preparation of comms architecture using Visio / drawio or equivalent.
- Preparation of Bill of Materials for Hybrid power projects
- Preparation of Feasibility study reports for optimum business cases
- Preparation of techno-commercial proposals.
- Data analysis of the Power analyzer data for the existing and new projects.
- Assist in preparation of presentation material and presentations to customers.
- Attending both existing and new project sites as part of the system design process.
- Standardization of design deliverables
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Job Purpose:
This position is a unique opportunity for you to work on DEWA Substations Projects and be responsible for Supervising the departmental / contracts site works of 11 kV, and 33kV Substation installation & Commissioning in order to ensure quality & Safety and timely completion of Projects
Your main duties will be to:-
1. Job Orders & Invoicing: Receive new job orders from planning section and allot to contractors.
2. To study the CAR with ring diagram & to understand NOC drawings
3. Prepare Weekly and daily plan for cable laying & excavation target
4. To provide necessary NOCs and all related documents to contractor. Ensure closure of job order on SAP system.
5. Ensure that materials reconciliations. Manpower/vehicle time sheets and necessary update to completed. Certification of invoice submitted by contractors.
6. Weekly Planning Meetings: Arrange coordination meeting with contractors for weekly cable laying progress planning as per contractual targets and other related issues. Monitor the progress on daily basis to achieve weekly target.
7. Coordination with roads & Transport authority, Dubai Municipality, developer and other agencies to resolve the site issues. To attend and Coordinate with internal DEWA departments and section to ensure smooth completion of job.
8. Ensure non-disclosure of confidential information to anyone within or outside the authority, during or after employment in DEWA.
9. Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards.
10. Manage issue and return of material from DEWA stores to contractors. Verification / inspection of materials reconciliation on monthly bases and forward material reconciliation / store checking report to section/Department head.
11. Certification of as-built drawings of completed works for GIS updation and for final completion certificate from Roads and Transport Authority.
12. Conduct site visits to ensure that quality and safety procedures are being followed. Ensure the jobs are executed by contractors according to DEWA technical/ standards specification and achieve targets and KPIs on time. Calculate the delay penalties and liquidated damages, if applicable, and forward to accounts department / legal advisor for deduction. Participate in conducting inspection of materials and equipment before issue of dispatch clearance.
Profile
Ideally, you will have graduated in Electrical Engineering with a minimum experience of 3 years in HV Cable Laying works, Underground utilities, and infrastructure works for substations.
You are fluent in English
You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer to join this trailblazing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining embedded systems for their AI waste sorting solutions. This role involves programming microcontrollers, working with electronic circuits, integrating and optimising AI algorithms, and leveraging industrial automation expertise.
Work Location: Office based role in Dubai Expo City
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development: Develop and implement software for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment. Design, code, test, and debug system software.
Hardware Integration: Integrate and validate new product designs. Support the design of hardware components and circuits, ensuring seamless integration with embedded systems.
AI Implementation: Work closely with data scientists and AI engineers to integrate machine learning models into embedded systems. Optimize AI algorithms to run efficiently on low-power, resource-constrained devices.
Industrial Automation: Apply knowledge of industrial automation systems and protocols to enhance the functionality and efficiency of AI waste sorting systems. Implement control systems and automation strategies to streamline sorting processes and improve system reliability.
Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes quickly to iterate on product concepts. Conduct thorough testing and validation of the system's performance, reliability, and robustness.
Maintenance and Documentation: Maintain software and hardware documentation. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for deployed systems.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python. Proficient with development tools such as GCC, Keil, or equivalent.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in embedded/firmware systems development. Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi. Experience with electronic circuit design and debugging. Experience in industrial automation and control systems. Familiarity with embedded operating systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux). Experience with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART). Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles, with experience in deploying models on embedded systems. Understanding of industrial automation protocols (e.g., PLC, SCADA, Modbus). Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent.
