1. Education & Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, FMCG, manufacturing and/or logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliable maintenance procedures and policies for operation efficiency.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance staff to ensure timely task completion.

  • Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance on all machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Manage maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and external contract services costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards to promote workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operational workflow and communication.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff, encouraging skill development and team growth.
  • Source and secure contractors and vendors for large-scale maintenance projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on maintenance status.
  • Develop emergency procedures for equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee energy conservation and sustainability efforts within the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role is necessary.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance concerning industrial safety and maintenance.
  • Exceptional communication skills for articulating maintenance-related information clearly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, plan, and allocate daily tasks for maintenance staff and technicians.
  • Inspect facilities, equipment, and systems regularly to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and raise purchase requests when needed.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and provide quick resolutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to maintenance staff.
  • Support new branch openings, fit-outs, and refurbishments with maintenance input.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing multi-site facilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards (local municipality, civil defense, etc.).
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.
