Responsibilities:

  • Engages in and ensures a strategic relationship with the client, providing insight and partnership across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreements
  • Delivers an added-value consultancy and works closely with clients to deliver campaigns, services and products across traditional and emerging communications channels
  • Plays an integral role in the senior management team, ensuring account profitability and optimising the impact of revenues on the business
  • Leads the new business process in collaboration with the local and regional leadership team, making key decisions and playing a crucial role in selling TEAM LEWIS credentials throughout the tender process

Media Relations:

  • Maximises media relations activity on behalf of the client via an in-depth knowledge of team networks
  • Recognises and creates media opportunities for the client in line with wider industry activity
  • Shares their detailed knowledge of the media landscape with team members, operating as a significant contributor in the tech, digital and consumer space
  • Utilises their network to create and maximise client coverage, advising on potential narrative, storytelling and thought leadership opportunities
  • Maximises their team’s understanding of current affairs by promoting a commitment to understanding the news agenda

Content:

  • Oversees the creation of high quality and engaging content, providing knowledgeable quality control and guidance to all relevant colleagues
  • Works with the client to develop and implement an impactful content strategy
  • Works with the team to improve own and others knowledge of content trends, driving a commitment to excellent story-telling across the business

Digital / Social Media:

  • Uses social media to recognise trends and proactively promotes new tools, solutions and processes to continuously evolve and optimise client PR campaigns across the business
  • Provides social media insight as well as strategic management of client activity
  • Works collaboratively with the digital team to increase the utilisation and selling of digital services

Team Working and Development:

  • Takes overall leadership responsibility for the Campaign team, including coaching, supervision, assessment and reviews of all team members
  • Sets strategic team objectives on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Defines deliverable client objectives and sets standards of excellence for all client activity, driving commitment from all levels of the team
  • Monitors team activity levels against budget, increasing fees and negotiating with clients and suppliers where necessary
  • Plays a leading role in the new business process, project managing pitch teams and delivering credible solutions to new business challenges
  • Acts as leader in guiding colleagues on how to best manage campaigns and projects
  • Acts as a respected line manager, working closely with line reports to maximise strengths, improve weaknesses and support career development
  • Works with the Talent team to recruit high calibre candidates into the team and develop and initiate hiring strategy in line with projected organisational requirements
  • Works with the HR team to reward, retain and develop the team and resolve any performance issues

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Ensures profitability on all accounts and effectively manages budgets
  • Understands and maximises the impact of client revenues on the business
  • Communicates account performance internally and provides strategic advice to the client based on measurable analysis
  • Monitors and reports on account KPIs and ensures accurate reporting by junior team members
  • Provides detailed reports to the senior management team on request

General:

  • Runs and supports training sessions, with a view to maximising opportunities to expand team skills and grow revenues
  • Takes a proactive role in promoting the TEAM LEWIS brand, its identity, values, and work
  • Supports the HR / talent team by promoting both internal and external opportunities at TEAM LEWIS across social media and via the referral scheme
  • Overall, is a guardian of best marketing practice

About You:

  • Highly commercial, with strong strategic client consultancy skills
  • Relevant experience working in a B2B or corporate communications agency environment at a Senior Campaign Manager or Campaign Director level
  • Well-versed in social media and the integration of digital marketing into the PR landscape
  • A track record of retention and the profitable growth of existing accounts
  • Considered, assertive, and influential; a leader with the aptitude to develop and motivate a team

  • Training and empowerment internal and external stakeholders with technical/scientific and product information in the light of Category Story - Ex. Veterinarians, breeders, University, distributor's team, newcomers.

Our Amazon International Policy & Press Communications team is looking for a PR Manager to cover the Middle East, Turkey and South Africa. Based in Dubai, you will be part of a fast-paced environment where adaptability and attention to detail drive success.
In this role, you will lead all issues management, policy communications and develop economic impact campaigns across this diverse region. We're seeking someone who takes pride in managing complex reputational challenges and thrives on delivering results in a global communications environment. You will also have the opportunity to plan external campaigns on policy and economic-related topics and work alongside talented professionals throughout our broader PR team.
Working closely with our International team you will contribute to key team activities and projects and will be expected to demonstrate strong media relations skills in both traditional and non-traditional media. We value individuals who demonstrate strong ownership, take initiative, and put customers first. Your ability to anticipate needs and develop creative solutions will be essential.
You will collaborate with corporate PR and public policy teams to devise and implement strategies that protect and enhance Amazon's reputation.
Key job responsibilities
You will develop communications programs where strategy may not be fully defined, requiring you to assess trends, analyze performance, and make recommendations that address business priorities - both reactive and proactive.
You will also serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to navigate complex policy and media landscapes while delivering impactful communications outcomes:
- Develop and execute reactive and proactive communications campaigns supporting Amazon's reputational, policy objectives and demonstrate Amazon's economic impact
- Lead program implementation in collaboration with internal teams across the broader Middle East region in close collaboration with our broader team capitals around the world
- Develop narratives and speaking points for external communications
- Create and manage content and assets, including oversight of agency-produced deliverables
- Serve as an Amazon spokesperson for relevant media inquiries
- Drive internal alignment to ensure consistent communications across regions
- Manage both proactive and reactive communication materials
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant local, international journalists and other external communicators
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders
- Manage confidential information with the highest level of discretion
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in professional communications or public relations
- Bachelor's degree
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Extensive experience in developing strategic communications materials for senior stakeholders
- Comprehensive understanding of the regional and national media and policy landscape
- Track record of developing and executing communications campaigns
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

- Speak, write, and read fluently in Arabic

As a Communications Manager, you will be responsible for managing communications around our business platforms, corporate areas and the engaged landscape in which we operate. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Public Policy, and Product and other teams and will partner with media outlets and influencers, showing how we help others to grow and succeed. You'll also be responsible for managing media interest in who we are and what we do.
As a member of the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, you will create communications strategies and materials and campaigns based on understanding of journalists' interests, develop narratives supporting these campaigns, and counter inaccurate information that might interfere with our business and ability to serve our users. You will have to understand complex issues and explain them in person and via well written communications material including social media, blog posts, FAQs, and more.
It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees. Things happen quickly at Google and to get stuff done here you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally and isn't hesitant to take risks or try new things.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop close, productive relationships with journalists, social influencers, key partners, and influencers in tech, business, and mainstream press across Turkey. Think creatively, take smart risks, and address tough issues as they arise.
+ Develop and refine our narrative across written materials including story pitches, messaging guidelines, press releases, presentations, and speeches. Build strategies and content for owned and operated external communications channels and compelling content for non-owned channels.
+ Collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, and other teams across Google to create compelling communication strategies that show the usefulness and key benefits of our advertising and consumer products.
+ Train and provide guidance to company officials for press activities. Help manage a PR agency to support day-to-day inquiries, special projects, and events.
+ Represent Google as a company spokesperson.
