Role OverviewWe are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Controller to lead inventory auditing and reconciliation across all channels of our business, including 3PL warehouses, retail stores, consignment locations, and internal storage facilities . This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing shrinkage, and supporting business decision-making through reliable inventory data.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience managing inventory across distributed networks, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities1. Inventory Auditing & Reconciliation:
- Perform regular inventory audits across all inventory holding points including 3PL warehouses, retail outlets, consignment locations, and internal facilities.
- Reconcile physical counts with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Regular system adjustments Write-in and Write-off based on stock condition, eg. Damage, Short, Excess etc.
- Lead and coordinate periodic and ad-hoc stocktakes, cycle counts, and spot checks.
- Establish stock take and cycle count yearly plan across all inventory locations.
2. Multi-Channel Inventory Oversight:
- Maintain accurate inventory records across all channels using ERP/WMS systems.
- Ensure stock integrity across 3PL, retail, and consignment by validating receipts, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Monitor and report on stock variances, obsolescence, and shrinkage.
3. Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with 3PL providers, store managers, and consignment partners to resolve inventory issues promptly.
- Liaise with purchasing, logistics, finance, retail and wholesale departments to ensure seamless inventory flow and accurate reporting.
- Provide inventory-related insights and reports to management and finance for month-end and year-end closing.
4. Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control and reconciliation.
- Support system enhancements or implementations related to inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in a multi-channel or omnichannel environment.
- Proven experience auditing and reconciling inventory across 3PLs, retail, and consignment locations.
- Proficiency in inventory systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, WMS platforms).
