A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Maintain the entire hotel apartment facility, including the physical building structure, all mechanical, electrical, FLS, HVAC systems, and other related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure the upkeep of guest areas to maintain IHG standards.
- Conduct house tours and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the hotel apartment, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
- Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces and verify completion of all repairs, replacement and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
- Follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by IHG standards / HACCP / Dubai Municipality standards and Civil Defense standards.
- Maintain effective energy management and preventive maintenance programs and conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel apartment.
- Scheduling employees and controlling them.
- Maintaining all FLS Equipment's in a healthy condition.
- General office administration (responding to letters, emails and special requests).
- Supervision of all engineers / colleagues.
- Planning, executing and controlling maintenance work, Green engages, DET, QEMS, JANA control etc.
- Organizing and maintaining important files, bills and receipts.
- Work closely with CDOE & smoothen operation.
- Supportive role in creating departmental budget and controlling of expenses.
- Training and practicing emergency and security issues.
What we need from you:
- A Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with electrical engineering as a plus
- At least 4 years of managerial experience in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to oversee the daily maintenance of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure seamless operation.
- Experience developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Strong leadership skills to manage and supervise the maintenance team, maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency
- Thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements
- Competence in managing maintenance budgets and coordinating with vendors and contractors effectively

What You'll Do
- Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies and regulations and ensure personnel also comply with safety guidelines and policies.
- Maintain and repair specialized equipment and machinery.
- Estimate repair costs.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists.

Job Description
The Role
The management of engineering and facilities services and processes that support the core business of the hotel. Generally focusing on using best business practice to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs whilst increasing productivity. To maintain Mvenpick standards of quality and service and facilities in all departments over which he/she has responsibility and authority. He/she is responsible for the overall smooth efficient and economical running of the entire Engineering department. Assisting the management in planning for investments project and replacement budget on a yearly basis.
Must be thoroughly familiar with all Accor corporate and local Operational Standards and ensure they are followed. He/she must accomplish responsibilities and goals as outlined below:
- Organization of engineering administration
- Facilities Management
- Preventive Maintenance & Repair
- Coordination with corp. Engineering Accor
- Handling and management and sufficient storing of spare parts.
- Safety & Fire
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
Planning & Organizing:
- Coordinating purchasing for the Engineering departments with the finance team as per the hotel procedures
- Manage sufficient par level stock of spare parts and ensures all incoming and outgoing items are registered.
- Implements all necessary work procedures for preventive maintenance initiate respective scheduled procedures and monitors carrying out of work as well as recording the results within appropriate filing system
- Prioritizes department workload and efficiently repairs breakdowns.
- Plan and execute the annual Preventative Maintenance program for the hotel.
- Plan training programs in the Engineering division in conjunction with the Director of T&C & the L & D Manager.
- Initiates Fire Fighting Training in coordination with the Director of Security on a regular basis for all Heartists.
- To review the employee schedule and annual leave plan to ensure the correct allocation of resources in order to improve owner/guest satisfaction level as well as Heartists productivity and satisfaction.
- To be familiar with all related company documentation especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for Engineering.
Operations:
- To have a complete understanding of and to adhere to Accor policy relating to Fire Hygiene Health and Safety.
- To oversee all technical installations on hotel plant Sewage system Fresh water Emergency Generator Air Condition System Technical building Services Kitchen equipment Cooling systems Swimming pools hotel lightening inhouse Music & TV system and Paging system.
- To ensure a consistently high standard of grooming is followed and by self and team
- Have full knowledge of all products and services provided by the property and in the local area
- Provides solutions for emergency situations and problems of a larger nature.
- To lead and support Heartists in the achievement of financial operational and service delivery targets via effective organizational policy and procedural development and appropriate colleague training activities
- Plan and execute regular technical skills training for the team
- Takes the responsibility for all work executed by Heartists or external contractors on the building plants or technical installations to ensure the quality of craftsmanship of all work carried out by team and contractors meets the Mvenpick standards.
- Fully investigates any internal disputes or guest complaints.
- Plan and allocate duties for all Engineering Staff in line with the operational requirements
- Supervise the completion departmental works to ensure they are completed according to Accor standards.
- To lead daily Engineering briefings and monthly Heartists meetings
- Manage any necessary modifications and improvements of the plant room equipment.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Administration:
- To be fully proficient with DynaWin system to maximise its use to streamline and uptodate information
- Approve invoices for payment when the work is done as initially agreed
- Design and implement a monthly report of works carried out machines maintained special events DynaWin report consumption of energy and water to be presented to the General Manager.
- Monitors all maintenance contracts and consults the General Manager as needed.
- Is aware of all agreements/laws with local authorities insurance companies external firms contractors and suppliers to control their work and invoices
Generic Aspects on Hygiene / Personal Safety / Environment/Confidentiality:
- Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture entrusted for Heartists use.
- Be well familiar with the hotels policies and procedures well acquainted with the physical layout of the hotel and its premises and knowledgeable of the hotels emergency procedures in regard to fire medical threat blackout and evacuation.
- Knows the safety regulations and ensures their application & ensures the safety of people and property in the hotel.
- Respects and ensures respect of the hotels commitments to the Environment Charter of Sustainability (saving energy recycling sorting waste etc).
- Understands and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Heartists Handbook and the Hotels policy on Fire Hygiene Health and Safety.
- Ensure that confidential records and other confidential information are properly safeguarded and are not removed from the office.
- Does not disclose any financial information or any other information of the Accor Hotels.

Qualifications :
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management.
