KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Receives nursing shift report handover from off going shift. Reviews Fakeeh Healthcare facility occupancy, staffing levels, nurse patient ratios and acuity levels of all areas
- Prepares staffing and patient census reports for the incoming shift
- Provides Nursing Director with a verbal handover of significant issues at the start and the end of each working day and throughout the shift as needed
- Provides solutions to shift manpower concerns and patient care coordination in absence of OUL
- Liaises with Nursing Service Director regarding all issues in their areas in a timely manner
- Adjusts staffing levels throughout the shift to meet evolving needs through redevelopment of staff or call in of off duty personnel
- Provides crisis management for all nursing care related issues out of hours in absence of Chief of Nursing
- Division or assigned designee
- Conducts rounds on all Fakeeh Healthcare facility floors and departments noting all critically ill patients, dying patient, violent patients, restrained patients, patients on patient-controlled analgesia, and VIPs
- Responds to pager calls and attends areas of concern to support and assist staff acting as clinical and administrative resource

- Responds to codes and minutes and accurate record of the event. Relevant rhythm strips will be attached to the record which will be copied and distributed as policy
- Ensures rapid response team (RRT) templates are completed, copied and distributed as per policy
- Monitors performance standards of staff during rounds and elevates concerns to Nursing Administration
- Keeps records of all patients falls, occurrence variations, medication administration errors, sentinel events, violent patients, VIP's, sick calls, bed issues, emergencies, codes, absconders, and any other issues. Takes remedial action where possible or elevates to Duty Manager or Chief of Nursing Division immediately for action
- Ensures clinical areas are functioning according to their official scope of service including additional scope for overflow patients to maintain patient safety
- Participates in policy development, practice reviews, committees and task forces as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer
- Ensures readiness of discharge rooms for the new admissions soon after the physical discharge. Ensure effective discharge planning process
- Fosters collaborative harmonious relationship consisting of the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrates advocacy and support on behalf of staff and patients
- Supports and promotes autonomy through the organization's governance structure for shared decision- making
Education requirements:
- Bachelor's in Nursing or Equivalent
Certifications & Licensces (as needed):

5 plus years of experience in a Trauma Hospital as a Nurse Manager
