Job Purpose

ADNOC is hiring Senior Specialists to join the growing New Energies Business Development team. The intention of the team is to proactively identify, evaluate and develop opportunities to profitably grow ADNOC’s low-carbon business, through projects and partnerships within the UAE and with market players internationally.

The incumbent will evaluate, develop and execute new business development opportunities, making agile and courageous decisions for potential partnership with players in new energies (including hydrogen and CCS) industry to win profitable investment opportunities for ADNOC and develop/maintain long-term relationships (e.g. JVs) with potential partners and off-takers of clean energy products and derivatives.

Key Accountabilities

Business Development

  1. Implement new business development and investment strategies related to New Energies Business, in line with ADNOC’s Group strategy.
  2. Support identification, evaluation and execution of opportunities designed to stimulate growth of the business and increase ADNOC revenue.
  3. Drive and manage project execution activities, including commercial due-diligence (including SPAs, SHA, JDAs, FSAs etc.) and financial due-diligence (including valuation) through project life-cycle in line with ADNOC’s Value Assurance Process (VAP).
  4. Support development of the business case that captures CAPEX and OPEX, sensitivity analysis, financial KPIs (ROI, Payback period, NPV etc.).
  5. Support development of most efficient and effective capital and commercial structure for the project, aligned with requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Support the development of required technical studies pertaining to delivering the transaction, in close collaboration with technical teams.
  7. Create alignment with internal stakeholders in developing business cases, conducting due-diligence and structuring.
  8. Develop deep understanding of overall industry. Continuously map and monitor market trends (including competitor activities) to identify new opportunities for Low Carbon Business.
  9. Contribute to the development of the people, culture, expertise and processes of immediate team, the broader Low-Carbon and International Growth department and ADNOC in its entirety.

  1. Conduct necessary due diligence and market analysis to identify areas of opportunity and recommend deals that may add value to ADNOC’s Low Carbon Strategy.
  2. Support techno-economic feasibility studies/due-diligence of shortlisted opportunities to deliver growth and maximize economic value.

  2. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

  1. Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports

  1. Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Internal

  1. Frequent work-related contact with immediate line manager, peers, team members and directorate senior management on matters related to the Unit’s operations, strategy, policies, administration, manpower, HSE and integrity and specific tasks.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  2. MBA or professional certification (e.g. CFA) is an advantage.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in business planning, commercial development, investment analysis, transaction management or project finance, preferably within the energy industry.
  2. Strong commercial acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex business situations and make informed decisions.

PURPOSE & SCOPE: NPCC is an EPC contractor involved in executing turnkey projects (onshore as well as offshore) for oil/gas production, processing, and transportation facilities. NPCC is looking for the recruitment of Senior HSE Engineers who shall be responsible for producing various Loss prevention and HSE Deliverables (such as HSE Philosophies, HSE Plan, Fire & Gas system design, fire protection system design, safety studies, etc.) for the Projects/Enquiries.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reports to H.O.D. (Safety) and works under his overall supervision.
  2. Assumes responsibility as Lead HSE Engineer for the project and is capable of producing deliverables with minimum assistance/supervision.
  3. Responsible for producing HSE deliverables such as Hazardous Area Schedule, Fire & Gas Detection Study including Detector’s Layout, performing Firewater Hydraulics, sizing Fire Water Pump and Deluge System, preparing detailed P&IDs for fire protection system, preparing data sheets for firewater pumps, deluge valves, sprinkler nozzles, foam system, and other miscellaneous fire protection equipment.
  4. The responsibility shall also include coordination with client, HSE Consultant (who are assigned to perform specialized studies), other discipline engineers, and Project team.
  5. Perform Flare Radiation and Dispersion Analysis as required.
  6. Prepare/review Safety Equipment Layout and Escape route layout.
  7. Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, and other safety studies.
  8. Provides input for the development of the Planning Package and project progress reporting.
  9. Develop spreadsheets and programs to simplify computational works.
  10. Should be familiar with current HSE practices and have hands-on experience with the software FRED, DNV PHAST PROFESSIONAL, PIPENET, etc., used for Consequence Analysis and firewater.

Skills Required:

  1. Degree in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent from a reputed institute.
  2. Minimum 6 years of experience as HSE Design Engineer for oil and gas projects.
  3. Knowledge of relevant codes and practices such as SHELL DEP, BP Guidelines, and ADNOC COPs, etc.
  4. Understanding of all Engineering disciplines.

The Role

RINA is currently recruiting for a Risk, Safety & Reliability Engineer to join its office in Abu Dhabi within the Plant Engineering Division.

Mission

This role of Risk, Safety & Reliability Engineer plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of chemical and petrochemical plants, energy production systems, and alternative fuel applications, ultimately contributing to the protection of personnel, the environment, and assets.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Risk Analysis:
    - Identify potential hazards.
    - Assess the likelihood and consequences of these hazards.
    - Develop risk matrices and prioritize risks based on severity.
  2. Risk Evaluation:
    - Evaluate risks associated with the presence of flammable and toxic materials.
    - Conduct pros and cons evaluation to assess the overall risk profile of the plant.
    - Recommend measures to mitigate identified risks, considering regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  3. Safety Measures:
    - Define and implement preventive or mitigative measures to limit the identified risks.
    - Develop safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines for plant operation.
    - Conduct training sessions to ensure staff are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.
  4. Reliability Evaluation:
    - Utilize RAM methodology to evaluate the reliability, availability, and maintainability of plant systems.
    - Identify areas for improvement to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
    - Analyze failure data and develop strategies for proactive maintenance and equipment replacement.
  5. Design Optimization:
    - Collaborate with design teams to optimize plant layout and infrastructure.
    - Ensure that safety and reliability considerations are integrated into the design process.
    - Recommend design modifications to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    - Prepare comprehensive reports documenting risk assessments, reliability evaluations, and design recommendations.
    - Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
    - Maintain accurate records of all analyses and evaluations conducted.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

- Experience (at least 3-5 years) in risk assessment and management within the chemical and petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency in using various risk analysis tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Knowledge of process safety management (PSM) principles.
- Familiarity with reliability engineering techniques, including RAM analysis.

This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting construction project delivery supervision. Education and experience :
