The Senior Project Engineer is a key role directly reporting to the Senior Project Manager of Fire Protection systems for the Middle East region. You will be based in Abu Dhabi and will be a part of a growing team that is responsible for Fire Protection System projects within the Oil & Gas sector in the Middle East region. You will prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor the assigned engineering projects, review compliance with NFPA codes & UAE life safety Code practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and project specifications. You will interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.

How you will do it
As an experienced Project Engineer, you will have expertise in project execution and complex knowledge of project designing of firefighting solutions, including Fire Protection (water-based systems), Gas Suppression, Foam, and Alarm Detection Systems within the Middle East region. You will develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans, completing technical studies like specification datasheets, Operation Philosophies, C&E matrix, Procedures, etc., cost estimation, and conferring with management. Determine project specifications by studying project design, customer requirements, and performance standards. Manage project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements. Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information and trends, and recommending actions. Manage the project, i.e., design, procurement, and installation activities within budget, agreed schedule, and exceeding customer expectations.
What we look for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Minimum of 8-10 years experience in major projects for Fire Fighting Systems within GCC countries.
- Strong technical knowledge of Fire Protection (water-based systems), Gas Suppression, Foam, special hazard protection, and Alarm Detection systems
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Knowledge of project cost management, revenue generation, and invoicing to customers
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking
- Material ordering and vendor management
- Responsible for production and issuance of technical documents, drawings, and calculations for manufacturing.
- Must have work experience in UAE/Oman/Kuwait/Qatar
- Proven track record in cost estimation during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions, and the ability to produce high-quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use
- Fluency in the English language is essential
- Driving License with the ability to travel
- Revenue invoice and cash flow forecasting and achieving the set-out plans.
