Overview

Royal Joinery has its own dedicated workshop to assist clients on high-profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source subcontractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialities across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated, qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment.

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the fit-out phase of RJ projects within the schedule and budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards. The role will involve coordinating and liaising closely between clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Support the project teams in all aspects of fit-out and finishes, including design development, procurement, and construction.

Area of Responsibility / Brief Description of Activities
  • Design & Construction Process: Manage the design and construction process for Joinery projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Design Management: Undertake full design management and manage design teams in the development of design solutions to meet the client’s expectations and budget.
  • Team Lead: Manage project teams to ensure that the contractor’s design is done in compliance with the contract.
  • Contract Administration: Administer complex contracts, proactively managing and confirming the compliance of contractors/consultants to the contract terms and conditions.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor the progress, quality, and safety of work performed by a contractor.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance throughout all projects with relevant specifications, standards, health and safety regulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.
  • Procurement: Support in the compilation of tender documents and critically reviewing tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
  • Meetings: Lead project meetings and communicate project status and issues to stakeholders.
  • Project Documentation: Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and other project-related documentation.
  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Prepare and deliver ad hoc reports required by the General Manager.

Minimum Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management / engineering or related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the Joinery Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and processes.

  • 5 Years’ experience in delivering Joinery Projects
  • Commercial & Hospitality industry experience is highly desirable.
Technical KSAs / Certifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Professional-level experience in project operation practices and systems, such as Microsoft.
  • Project, Primavera P6, or Procore.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and leases, able to interpret drawings and specifications.

What the job involves

The Client Onboarding and Maintenance team is ultimately responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships. You will manage projects with our customers, such as system implementations. Define, manage and monitor project KPIs to ensure project OKRs are clearly articulated, measurable and time bound, and that achievements and value-delivery is sustained post-implementation. Ensure regulatory compliance and market relevance by integrating the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices into all processes and enablement platforms within the scope of responsibility.
  • Performance Management - Drive a performance culture geared towards innovation, challenging the status quo and conventional thinking, and driving continuous improvement across all facets of the business. Conduct post-implementation reviews including project performance evaluations compared to pre-project metrics and market benchmarks and suggest further improvements on an ongoing basis. Ensure that any post-implementation issues are identified and addressed by the relevant design teams and project managers. Identify lessons learned and recommend enhancements to maximize long-term value, and propose new KPIs to support the changes across sales, service and support teams. For key processes, produce and maintain process blueprints, that would be critical in future process enhancements, scalability and knowledge transfer.
  • Risk Management - Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, and Governance, Policy and Control teams to ensure that all new and existing processes comply with bank-wide standards, policies, risk appetite and regulatory framework. Lead the integration of new policies and regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate, up-to-date internal documentation and ensuring seamless cross-referencing across Group Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational guidelines. Promote a culture of proactive risk management by embedding risk considerations into project planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews, ensuring that transformation initiatives are both innovative and compliant.
  • Stakeholder Management - Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Private Banking to ensure alignment with business objectives and to consistently deliver service excellence. Act as the primary liaison for business teams following major project rollouts, product enhancements, and process improvements while ensuring smooth transitions, issue resolution, and sustained adoption. Lead the development and delivery of training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support business readiness and capability building across impacted teams. Champion stakeholder engagement by fostering collaboration, transparency, and shared ownership of transformation outcomes.
  • People Management - Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance. Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation.
  • Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation

The Role?

  • Accountable for the management and delivery of project/s, including but not limited to initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific service provisions and meet client specifications.

  • Provides Leadership and guidance to direct reports and wider team where appropriate on technical, resourcing, and contractual matters.
  • Responsible for ensuring plans are in place and maintained to support and deliver client Integrated Asset Plans and EnerMech support capability.
  • To be the client's representative in ensuring any wider EnerMech departments deliver as per commitments.
  • Maintain the Business Forecast Tool associated with the contract.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

  • Ownership and compliance to ensure EnerMech meets client HSE and Quality expectations.
  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of the contract and any allocated core or ad-hoc support teams.
  • Accountable for managing EnerMech/Client-specific objectives/KPI’s to ensure actions are completed and targets met.
  • Accountable for managing weekly/monthly client reporting – ensuring all monthly reporting is completed accurately and on time, including Quality Performance Reviews (QPRs), FPALs, etc.
  • Attend client planning meetings to ensure mobilization readiness and gate compliance
  • Make and implement recommendations to clients to improve, equipment or asset integrity/service delivery/equipment availability.
  • Responsible for the completion of all accounts payable invoices on a weekly/monthly basis as required by the business line.
  • Coordinate contract-specific incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis
  • Develop and present monthly/QPR (Quality Performance Review) meetings.
  • Travel offshore/to sites to carry out audits, management visits, and surveys once a quarter or as required.
  • Accountable for sign-off on all contract CTRs (Cost Time Resource), Work packs, Invoices, etc. as “contract Representative”.
  • Ensuring that NAV is used effectively and in line with processes to be able to track and report business performance.
  • Manage and lead the contract planning control room sessions.
  • Support the Operational Leader to liaise with EnerMech field crews on a daily/frequent basis regarding operational and project performance matters.
  • Ensure that any Safety Critical Maintenance requirements are identified and actions by the EnerMech Technical Authority to delivery project requirements.
  • Manage Work in Progress (WIP) and aged Debt.
  • Deal with any employee issues with HR support where required.
  • Proven experience in successful management and delivering the performance of projects through the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable experience in Pipeline Pre-commissioning, supporting client organizations, leading teams, and strong commercial awareness.
  • Offshore survival & OGUK Medical.

Preferred:

  • Project Management qualification or equivalent industry experience in managing project delivery.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or relevant technical qualification with industry experience.
