Job Description
PURPOSE & SCOPE: During tendering stage, responsible for the review of enquiry documentation and the Scope of Work, perform pre-bid engineering and provide required inputs for bid preparation. After award of Project, carry out allocated duties related to the preparation, and issue of Process & Safety deliverables. This responsibility includes site visits as required and close coordination with Lead Process Engineer, Project Engineering manager, Drafting Office Coordinator and occasionally with client's project team.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to H.O.D. (Process & Safety) and works under his overall supervision.
- Reports to Lead Process/ Safety Engineer for day to day work.
- During tendering stage, reviews enquiry documentation from client together with Scope of Work raises queries where there is lack of clarity, interfaces with other disciplines to ensure integration of activities and finally provide Process inputs during bid preparation.
- For projects awarded to NPCC, perform as under:
- Perform Site Visits for data collection / verification.
- Develop Process Design Basis based on scope of work, subsequent client's clarifications and site visit.
- Perform Process simulation and develop Heat & Mass Balance as required.
- Perform Pipeline hydraulics.
- Perform Flare hydraulics.
- Perform Fire water networking.
- Perform Equipment/Instrument sizing calculations.
- Prepares Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, Process data sheets, and other Process deliverables.
- Prepares Operating Manual and provide support during commissioning and performance run.
- Coordinates with the Drafting Office Coordinator for the checking and issuing of drawings.
- Provides input for the development of the Planning Package and project progress reporting.
- Receives “as built” information from the Project Management Team, reviews content and, if satisfied, passes to drafting for production of drawings.
- Trains Entry Level Engineers.
- Compliance in accordance with HSE standard.
Skills Required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the oil and gas plants Design and Engineering.
- Extensive Knowledge and expertise in Process Simulation. Have good working experience with common process softwares like HYSIS, PIPESIM, PIPEPHASE; FLARESIM, PHAST PROFESSIONAL.,SAFETI etc.
- Proven skills in routine process calculations and use of process software and in-house developed spreadsheets.
- Good knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Good command of written and spoken English and report writing.
- Good interpersonal relationship.
- Should be familiar with routine safety studies like HAZOP, HAZID, and SIMOPS etc.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Undertake process design work of units as required, supervise and check works of assigned engineers on the project as appropriate
- Execute process engineering activities within the budget and schedule, as well as maintaining technical integrity of the design
- Ensure that detail design methods, standards and data used conform with Client's requirements and / or those issued
- Be responsible for the checking or approval of basis of design, process calculations, safety related calculations to develop the robust design
- Review and approve Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, PSFS, DPTDs, Equipment & Instrument specifications, Process Descriptions, cause, and Effect chart etc.
- Review and approve dynamic simulation study, transient study, surge study, Minimum Metal Design Temperature (MDMT) study, etc.
- Review and approve depressurization studies, flare load estimation and flare system design
- Ensure a high standard of safety is achieved and Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures are followed
- Review and approve safety related calculations and provide input to HAZOP, SIL and other safety reviews as required
- Identifying new methodology of work process required for higher productivity
- Contribute where necessary to review of supplier quotations and reviews of the project
- Ensure that requirements of Licensor's Secrecy Agreements are known and complied within the work performed
- Participate in technical meetings and handle discussions with client engineers
- Identification of issues that impede project progress and reporting to Project Managers, Engineering Manager / Discipline heads
- Be willing to mentor and engage in the training and development of junior engineers in the team
- Assist project team in the preparation of planning package, scheduling, weekly reporting etc.
- Assist as required in the preparation of pre - commissioning, commission procedures and operating Manuals
- Provided assistance in Manhours estimation and scheduling for proposals

Expected
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of five (5+) years of relevant experience in the Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas industry, including minimum (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in similar position in a mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects
- Proficient in Process Simulation software’s such as HYSYS, Flare System Analyzer, PipeNet, Pipesim, OLGA etc. and should be a subject matter expert.
- Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software
- Experience of working in a multi - project / multi - disciplined environment and throughout all engineering and design phases of projects
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage

Supervision
- Plan and supervise all Process Engineering activities in the Copper Rod Plant assigned area to meet all performance objectives.

Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) processes in manufacturing as part of Ducab’s continuous improvement projects to determine and maintain the appropriate blending ratios.
Continuous Improvement and Customer Service
- Participate in programs for innovation and continuous improvement in pursuit of greater productivity.
- Identify, execute, implement and support projects using Six Sigma methodology as part of Ducab’s continuous improvement drive.
- Identify and rectify process related problems to ensure continuity of production.
- Investigate customer complaints and recommend corrective action to deliver customer satisfaction and improve quality.
Inventory Management
- Verify the stock of raw materials received and investigate any shortages to initiate recovery of shortages from the vendor.
- Verify the weight of Copper Rods production outputs to avoid shortages or excess weight in finished goods going to customers.
Procurement
- Provide Procurement department with technical expertise to define specifications for good quality raw materials and procured copper which can be used for production.
Coil Allocation Process
- Select and allocate Copper Coils based on the customer segment in order to meet their requirements and avoid quality complaints.
Cost Reduction
- Contribute recommendations and ideas to reduce the cost of production and achieve cost saving targets.
Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential: Degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
Desirable : Masters in Engineering. A Green belt in Six Sigma and exposure to the advanced level to Kaizen, Process Re-engineering and Lean Manufacturing

Job Description
The role of the Process Engineer/Safety Coordinator is to evaluate processes and to configure manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process. The focus of the role is to maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems as well as manage capital equipment projects using both internal and external resources. The successful candidate will be a skilled, energetic, and devoted engineer who is interested in being involved hands on in the day-to-day manufacturing process. They will be a key member of the facility management team reporting to the Plant Manager, providing support/direction of the manufacturing process and equipment decisions
The role is a permanent placement; travel to other sites in North America, India, and Middle East may be required. The candidate must not have any restrictions for work placements in the UAE.
Safety and Environmental
· Manage plant Environmental, health, and safety programs. Ensure ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications are maintained.
· Ensures Plant EHS scorecard and safety training records are maintained and up to date.
· Develop and maintain safety standards to conform to industry standards and federal, state and local regulations.
· Understand the importance of safety in manufacturing. Safety always comes first.
· Understand the importance of minimizing environmental impacts in the processing and manufacturing of plastic. Always strive to minimize wastes and spills when designing equipment.
Process Design
· Facilitating all aspects of process engineering for new and existing products from feasibility testing to process automation.
· Developing chain of tasks for process, establishing method of production & process directives, resolving problems / bottlenecks. Providing analysis of data and generating required compliance documentation.
· Discovering, investigating and integrating new technologies in the processing area.
· Process engineering calculations - material and energy balances, strength of material, etc.
· Implementing statistical tools for process control & designing DOE (Design of Experiments).
· Preparing Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) etc.
· Optimizes Production Rate and Quality and Safety by eliminating bottlenecks in the grinding and extrusion process.
· Evaluates efficiency and capacity and safety of process equipment of extrusion and size reduction systems to identify limitations and bottlenecks.
· Minimize reliance on operator human skill and experience.
· Reviews processing performance with plant management team daily. Make recommendations to production department.
Job Qualifications:
· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
· 3-5 years of Process Engineering experience.
· Strong background PLC controls, working knowledge on electrical schematics and automation design
· Experience in equipment troubleshooting, process optimization and production controls such as SPC and DCS.
· Strong mechanical aptitude with high interest in working in a manufacturing environment.
· Willingness to get involved in the production operation at all levels.
· Must have experience in managing ISO14001 and 45001 management system, and certified internal auditor.
· Ability to work in a multitasking, multi-role and fast paced environment.
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including VBA and macros, AutoCAD, PLC controls and programming software, SolidWorks experience would be an asset.
· Strong customer/vendor interaction and interpersonal skills.
· Willing to occasionally, as needed, work outside of normal business hours to troubleshoot problems and facilitate projects.
· Experience in plastics manufacturing, especially extrusion, equipment design, process development, and polymer science is preferred.

**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Process Engineer** to join our team! In this role, you will ensure technical compliance and performance of process systems throughout the design, construction, and commissioning phases of a major water infrastructure project.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Review process design submissions from Delivery Contractors for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
+ Ensure all proposed process systems comply with safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
+ Participate in value engineering, process optimization, and troubleshooting during construction and commissioning.
+ Support the development and review of commissioning and start-up plans and procedures.
+ Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve process-related technical challenges.
+ Provide technical input during design reviews and risk assessments.
+ Monitor and report on process performance during early operations and testing.
+ Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement documentation post-commissioning.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil,Chemical Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited university.
+ Minimum **5+ years** of experience in **process engineering** , including a strong understanding of EPC project execution.
+ At least **2 years (preferred)** of experience in the **GCC region** on similar large-scale infrastructure projects.
+ Solid understanding of engineering principles and construction techniques across utility/infrastructure projects.
+ Proven experience in process design review, technical compliance, and commissioning support.
+ Proficiency in **process simulation tools** such as **Aspen HYSYS** .
