Job Title: Quality Control Manager (Construction)

The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control within construction projects. This role ensures that all construction work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and client expectations. The QC Manager plays a critical role in delivering projects with high quality, on time, and within budget by implementing and maintaining effective quality management systems.

• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a quality control/assurance role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction codes, standards, and practices (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ISO 9001).
• Familiarity with construction materials, testing procedures, and inspection techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and QC/QA documentation tools; experience with construction management software is a plus.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Must have worked in a Managerial position in an ASME authorized company and have extensive experience with QA & QC of pressure vessels, process skid packages, heat exchangers, structures, etc.

The candidate shall be the focal point for all quality-related issues for the company.

The position will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality for Velath's manufacturing operations. This includes the preparation of detailed specifications, procedures, sub-vendor evaluations, sub-vendor management, intra-department process documentation management, support for quality-related issues during and post-bids, management of communication with ASME and ASME-related entities, and all other activities related to quality within the environment of an ASME authorized fabrication facility.

• Must have handled on-site constructed Tank Farm Projects in a managerial position.
• Must have participated as the focal point in at least two ASME Joint audits.
• Should have sound knowledge of manufacturing of pressure vessels, process equipment, tanks, heat exchangers, structures, etc.
• Sound knowledge of metallurgy of various carbon steel (CS), stainless steel (SS), and clad materials.

• Prepare and review sub-part specifications and technical discussions with sub-vendors, including heat treatment and coating.
