We are currently looking for Project Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi:

Technical Knowledge and Skills (Discipline Specific):

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Project Management roles (Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager, Project Engineering Manager)
  • 07 Years working experience with ADNOC group (Preferably ADNOC Onshore, ADNOC Gas and ADNOC Offshore)
  • Must have experience in managing large Detailed Design scopes and successful project execution as an Engineering manager for ADNOC (CONCEPT, FEED ) / EPC Projects
  • PM is accountable for technical integrity of all project deliverables (including, but not limited to Drawings, Calculations, Datasheets, Technical specifications, Material Requisitions, Technical bid evaluations, Schedules, MTO’s, Work volumes) in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications.
  • Lead, coordinate and manage the discipline groups and the engineering deliverables quality level to avoid non-value-added work to optimize manhours spent on projects.
  • Responsible for Quality documentation and report any non-compliances for process improvement.
  • Must have strong experience of managing projects on 3D platforms.
  • Must have experience of managing subcontractors effectively.
  • Audience needs and ensuring understanding.
  • Project Integration Management: Able to proactively manage the scope of the Project entire life cycle.
  • Schedule Management: Manage and determine the overall Project duration and when activities and events are planned to happened. Estimation of activities duration, taking into account requirements and resources availability.
  • Technical Knowledge: Should have strong engineering / design background and should be able to effectively manage all technical disciplines for ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Contract Management: Should have experience of managing contract with the client
  • Quality Management: Ensure the project deliverable meet the required needs of the stakeholders by developing and monitor a quality management plan
  • Budget & Cost Management: Should have the ability to develop and agree budgets for the project and change initiatives, and to control forecast and actual costs against the budgets
  • Conflict Management: Should have ability to resolves conflicting information and the different priorities of key stakeholders to inform effective decision-making.
  • Regional Knowledge and Experience: Should have strong UAE (or within GCC) engineering consultancy experience, having worked with NOCs, IOCs and EPC Clients in the region in the capacity of Project Manager. Prior engineering / design experience will be an added advantage.

Qualification / Experience (Skills):

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Mechanical/Piping/Electrical & Instrumentation/Process engineering background preferable

  • Plan thoroughly and prioritize diligently.
  • Manage project elements such as schedule, cost, resources, and risks.
Qualifications

Education: BSc in Electrical Engineering

Experience: 10 years in managing construction projects, including power transmission & distribution and/or power substations projects.

Languages: Good English speaking skills are required; French is preferable.

Certificates: PMP, IPMA, or equivalent certification is required.

Computer Skills: Very good in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and proficient with Primavera.

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Proposed PMC in-house Project Management procedures are approved by the Company and implemented by all PMC staff in full compliance with Contract requirements and Company procedures.
  • Conduct documented induction courses for all PMC staff to ensure their awareness of the project requirements.
  • Ensure all PMC staff are familiar with the approved project procedures and drawings.
  • Review and comment on the Contractor's proposed site organization and key personnel CVs.
  • Review and monitor the Contractor's proposed construction equipment and manpower histogram and advise the Company of any shortages affecting the schedule.
  • Establish documented procedures to oversee and comment on proposed Subcontractors, vendors, materials shop drawings, and other transmittals. Report any deviations from project requirements to the Company's management, addressing potential impacts on time and cost.
  • Ensure Contractor compliance with contractual obligations regarding design changes, trend notices, etc.
  • Conduct regular site visits for monitoring site activities related to quality, safety, and progress, and inform Company representatives of findings, concerns, and corrective actions.
  • Lead the PMC team in evaluating all Requests for Information (RFIs) submitted by the Contractor and coordinate with the Design Consultant as needed. Prepare Contractor responses when sufficient information is available.
  • Ensure involvement of PMC and Consultant staff in implementing Field Quality Control procedures, safety, and progress monitoring.
  • Deeply review Contractor transmittals concerning construction methodology, method statements, project quality plan, safety plan, schedules, and compliance with project objectives.
  • Lead PMC in reviewing and implementing pre-commissioning and commissioning plans.
  • Guide PMC staff in final inspections and punch list preparation, coordinating with the end-user.
  • Supervise PMC staff in reviewing and assessing the Contractor's Close-Out Report.
  • Verify that As-Built drawings, vendor and equipment warranties, O&M manuals, spare parts, and training programs submitted by the Contractor meet project requirements after PMC assessment.
  • Prepare and submit the PMC closeout report for the project.
  • Familiarize oneself with and ensure compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies, manuals, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Qualified Engineer; BSc or higher degree.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Project Management.
