The role of a TA is to support the Teacher in all aspects of learning:

6. Responsible for covering class for short periods of time in emergency situations.
7. Tidy and rearrange stock cupboards and distribute new stock.
8. Take children to toilet and change/clean them when necessary.
9. Develop familiarity with relevant aspects of the curriculum eg literacy, numeracy and Phonetics.
10. Ensure the GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
11. Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
12. Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
13. Ensure tact, confidentiality and discretion at all times. Maintain confidential information and ensure information pertaining to students and the school is not shared or discussed without the approval of the teacher or senior management team.
14. Perform other duties as requested by direct & dotted reporting line managers / supervisors.

This would be a full time position working Monday – Friday (7:15am-2:45pm Mon-Thur & 7:15am-12pm Fri), working term time only.
