1. Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the GEMS Core Values.
2. Assist the teacher with reading-related activities.
3. Run small group activities inside or outside the classroom as directed by the teacher.
4. Prepare and tidy up classroom activities. Mount work displays and assist with preparation of displays.
5. Photocopy documents and assist with preparation of worksheets as requested.
6. Responsible for covering classes for short periods in emergency situations.
7. Tidy and rearrange stock cupboards and distribute new stock.
8. Take children to the toilet and assist with changing/cleaning when necessary.
