Job Description
To lead the alignment and integration of answer products related to Geomechanics and other relevant domains under the Drilling Engineering and Interpretation and Evaluation Services group throughout the organization, acting as the focal point between Geozone operations, Global product line, software, and R&D for the development and sustaining of answer products involving Geomechanics. This role is expected to drive initiatives related to Geomechanics in alignment with GPL strategy and the operational requirements of different geographies.
Responsibilities :
- Drive the strategy throughout the organization for alignment of the Geomechanics activities to support Drilling Services and other relevant product lines as established by management
- Determines areas of focus and development for the Geomechanics domain based on alignment with business priorities
- Ensures alignment of the Weatherford Geomechanics products with the internal and external needs, as well as integration with other relevant subsurface evaluation domains across the different geographies.
- Active interactions and coordination with customers as well as timely support to WFRD operations teams to maintain and develop further business for Weatherford's various segments supported by the geomechanics expertise
- Defines innovative workflows relevant to the location that include the Geomechanics domain to provide integrated technical solutions to customers
- Builds and delivers detailed Geomechanics training courses internally and/or externally.
- Participates actively in relevant technical societies (SPE, SPWLA, etc) according to business priorities
- Provide training to all Geomechanics personnel, locally and globally
- Assists operations teams across product lines on post-mortem root-cause analysis on operations related to the Geomechanics domains
- Knows and understands Weatherford's Operational Excellence & Performance System (OEPS) and the Quality Policy and complies with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions
- Performs all other activities/duties as indicated by direct and functional management.
Skills :

Roles and Responsibilities :
Design Review:
- Review and approve fire life safety designs and plans submitted by the D&B contractor to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.
- Conduct detailed assessments of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, smoke control systems, and emergency lighting.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the D&B contractor to address any design deficiencies or improvements.
- Ensure that fire life safety considerations are integrated into the overall project design and construction phases.
Construction Supervision:

The Rolling Stock Resident Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the inspection, approval, and progress of rolling stock vehicles manufacture in China. This role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements, providing regular feedback to the PMC Team and Client based in UAE, and managing/monitoring the progress of vehicle manufacture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect each vehicle prior to release for shipping to the project premises in UAE.
- Approve vehicles based on a series of documented observations and required amendments.
- Provide regular feedback to the PMC Team, Client, Stakeholders, and the manufacturer by raising any observations noted throughout all manufacturing stages.
- Ensure that the manufacturer responds within 7 days with an action plan to address any observations and required amendments.
- Rolling Stock Resident Engineer will have access to manufacturer's facilities where he/she will inspect each vehicle prior to final delivery.
- He/she will be required to visit all manufacturing facilities, including those of suppliers and subcontractors, as required.
- Manufacturers will have to provide safe access to the vehicle manufacturing facility throughout all stages of the manufacturing process. The Rolling Stock Engineer will have to ensure this is adhered and ensure his safety first and others involved.
- Coordinate/arrange any meetings with the manufacturer, inspections or visits by client representatives to the facility throughout all stages of manufacture.
- He/she will have access to all manufacturing records, processes, methods, and documentation, for use to produce any relevant reports in terms of production progress, risks foreseen and applicable mitigations and recommendations ensuring there is no delay in the production and supply of the vehicles.
- He/she will be working along with the manufacturers ensuring that the production of vehicles is as per the approved designs and standards.
- Manage and oversee all testing activities relevant to the rolling stock including all sub systems by the D&B contractors
- Coordinate with signaling, telecommunications, and power supply teams.
- He/she will ensure all training manuals and documents are as expected and in a state to be adopted by the O&M teams.
- Rolling Stock Engineer will work closely in liaison with the Rolling Stock and Rail Systems team in the PMC teams and any other relevant stakeholders from the client organization in UAE to manage feedback and expectations.
- He/she will be based in China.
- Occasional travel maybe required from China to UAE.
Key requirements:
- Ideal candidate will be based in Changzhou, China
- Should be open to travel to Dubai on adhoc basis when required by the project but this will be minimal.

The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all contract-related activities for the rail project during the construction phase. This role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, managing contract negotiations, and providing support during the construction supervision phase. The Contracts Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure the successful execution of the project. Minimum 15-20 years of experience in relevant field.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Oversee the administration of all contracts related to the project, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and corporate protocols.
- Negotiations: Lead negotiations for complex contractual issues, representing the organization in discussions with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks, providing advice on potential opportunities and threats.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to the client and internal stakeholders, highlighting any contractual risks and opportunities.
- Claims Management: Liaise with the Claims Manager to ensure a robust response to any claims, in compliance with the contract.
- Technical Data Provision: Ensure the provision of all necessary technical data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager.
- Contractual Presentations: Prepare and deliver contractual presentations as required.
- Liaison with Departments: Work closely with the required departments to ensure compliance with any legal, financial, and corporate protocols.
- Contractual Progress Meetings: Drive progression via contractual progress meetings, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or equivalent are highly desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, construction contracts, and industry standards. Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple contracts and stakeholders effectively.
- Prior experience working on a rail or transportation project will be a plus.
